Not where does it hurt. Why does it keep coming back?
Back pain, neck pain and headaches usually return because the cause was never found — only the symptom was managed. Our two-day new patient assessment is built to find it: full history, neurological, orthopaedic and posture testing, and your results explained on screen.
assessment
What actually happens over the two days.
No guessing, no vague plan, no pressure. You will know what we found and whether chiropractic is the right answer for you before you commit to anything.

Consultation & testing
We take a full history, then run neurological, orthopaedic and posture testing to see how your spine, joints and nervous system are actually working — rather than assuming from where the pain is.
Report of findings
We show you what we found on screen and explain it in plain English: what is happening, why it keeps returning, and what a realistic plan of care looks like — including how long and how much.
Your first adjustment
Care begins only if it is clinically appropriate for you. If chiropractic is not the right answer, we will say so and point you to who can help. That is the whole point of testing first.
Treating the symptom is why it comes back.
Painkillers, a rub of the shoulder, a week of rest — these can settle a flare-up. They do not change whatever produced it. So the pain goes quiet, life carries on, and a few months later it is back in the same place.
Chiropractic is a hands-on, drug-free discipline focused on restoring movement, supporting nervous system function and helping the body do its own repair work. Our chiropractors assess how your spine, muscles, joints and nervous system work together, and look for the areas of tension, restriction or imbalance behind the symptom you came in with.
That is a whole-person approach rather than a quick fix — which is why many people stay with us long after the original complaint has settled.

What people come to us with.
Chiropractic care may help with a range of musculoskeletal complaints. If yours is on this list, the assessment will tell us whether we can help you specifically.
Ten years of local word of mouth.
Real reviews from patients at our Billericay and Brentwood clinics.
“I suffered my whole adult life with a bad neck, but not any more. Grayson identifies the issue immediately, fixes it, and I walk out pain-free. I have high standards, and the team surpasses them.”
“I originally arrived with a painful right shoulder around five years ago. As a barber, using my right arm is fundamental to my job. What makes this place different is they care.”
“My shoulder had been uncomfortable for nearly six months before I visited. After a thorough review I agreed a plan — my shoulder issues have been addressed. Don't leave it six months like I did.”

Questions we get asked a lot.
Still unsure? Call the clinic and speak to a person — no call centre.
Does chiropractic treatment hurt?
Treatment is usually painless unless an area is swollen. You may feel slight discomfort as you are adjusted, and you may hear clicking or popping sounds — both are normal. If you have any concerns, tell your chiropractor on the day.
Is it safe?
When performed by a trained and registered chiropractor, yes. It is normal to feel some aches or stiffness for a day or two afterwards as your body adjusts. Tell us about any pre-existing medical conditions before you start. Our chiropractors are registered with the General Chiropractic Council.
Do I have to commit to a whole plan?
No. Most people with acute pain start with a more intensive block of care to get the fastest improvement, then move to occasional maintenance visits. You can stop at any time, and you will never be charged for treatment you have not received.
What does it cost after the assessment?
Follow-up appointments are £60. A typical course of care works out around £1,000 depending on what we find and how long you choose to continue — and we will agree all fees with you in advance, in writing, before anything starts.
What should I wear?
Something comfortable that lets you move freely. We would avoid skirts or dresses, as they can limit movement during your appointment.
